Is That a FROG in Your Pocket OR........??

When I went out to get the mail today, There was a large envelope in there and I did not recognize the return address at first! But when I opened it, this is what I found!
Sorry for the BAD photos!

Yep, Mama Pea mailed "HER" to me! And this was what I won in her giveaway! OMG, Are you sure I won?

Mama Pea, Tell Papa Pea I may want my MONEY BACK!!! That's Daisy at the top of the photos and she gave me a look of "Better you them me, Pal!!

Notice the Name Change? I do not see any "MALE Parts" (Foggy Penis, Carolyn, Do You? I think not!!!)

So the Rules are I have to sew this thing up and stuff it, Right? And I can not ask for any FEMALE help! I have to do the work my self. OK, I can do this, but I need advice!

Mama Pea,
What kind of stitch do I use to put it together. As I will be doing this all by hand, Its going to take a lot of time and I have to learn how to do it without a machine!
Mama Pea, I though you liked me??
And I can just hear Carolyn about now! STOP LAUGHING! You will get Tears on the keyboard! I will be thinking of you as I put in each stitch!

OMG!!!! What did I do? I will never enter a "GIVEAWAY" Again! (Unless it's for FOOD or BEER!). As if I do not have enough problems all ready!

OK, Deep Breath! I can do this (no i can't!), (YES I CAN!), (no i can't!!!!!).
 Just Shoot me now!!
I will need  a LARGE AMOUNT of Adult Beverage for this!

I WANT MY MOMMY!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
TOM

  4. Tom, I'm sorry to say that you are incorrect in your attempt of re-sexing BUDDY the frog. Anyone who recalls their high school biology class, one cannot see a frog's wee-wee unless it is dissected. BUDDY is also wearing a vest with a bow tie. And unless BUDDY is "gender neutral" or a cross-dresser, I'm still pretty sure that he is a HE.

    1. Carolyn,
Goes to show what you remember about Biology! A Frofs "WEE-WEE has to come out some time or there woiuld not be any little frogs in the spring!
So a female she is! She just has a Masculain side and thinks that a Bow Tie is very HIP!
I have not even started on her yet and I'm already having fun!

  5. What? You don't have a sewing machine?? I thought you had a sewing machine? You've got to go out and buy one now. It's gonna be soooo slow stitching Froggie together by hand. And when you make a stuffed animal (or amphibian, sorry) the seams take a lot of stress shoving all that stuffing in. I don't want to discourage you though because it can be done by sewing it by hand . . . but I thought for sure you had a machine. Maybe you should send the pattern on to Carolyn, she can put him (I mean her . . . or it) together, rename him/her/it "Tommy" and send it back to you. (Sorry, Carolyn!) Just don't you dare send it back to me to make!! :o]

P.S. Thanks, CR, for reminding me of that AWFUL formaldehyde smell I will forever connect with the frog dissection in high school biology! Ish. Double ish.

    1. Mama Pea,
Its OK. I do have a machine, But its an old "National" treddle type. And I think it works? But I got it covered!
I went to show Terri the "Frog" and she has a machine that has been sitting for a couple years. She got it as aChristmas for her Sister one year and The following April, Her Sister Passed. So Terri got it back. And she is not a sewer.
So it's nearly new and all I have to do now is learn how to use it! So it's all good!
      And the fact that "Carolyn" (The frog) is a girl can not be argued any more! See my reply to "Funny Girl". :0}

  7. Maybe doing a back stitch all the way around might help on those seams. Boy do you have your work cut out for ya. And you did say you had a sewing machine - whatcha afraid of that little itty bitty machine LOL ;)

  9. Remember Tom, when you get the "she frog" finished, I will look for mine and send it to you also as you will be an expert by then. hehehe Hmmm, you might be in luck because I may have given mine to a quilt guild for their boutique table at their bi-annual quilt show. After seeing your photos of the frog pieces, I am hoping that I did!!! Still, you will have a great learning experience. Heck, you were in the Navy so you should be good with water "animals". You weren't by any chance a "frogman", were you?!?! (I think I can hear Mama Pea all the way from MN to NC laughing uncontrollably.)

    1. You got that right, Karen! Oh, what would we do if we didn't have Tom to heckle, great guy that he is? I hope he knows he will NEVER get by without showing the finished product on this one!

    2. Alright you two! That makes three of you on the "HECKLE TOM WAGON"! Again I say, Mama Pea, I though you liked me!?
I was looking at the machine I got from Terri and it does not look all that easy! To many dials and knobs and there is a NEEDLE in there some where.
And the manual is written in words I do not understand!
ZIGZAG Stitch, Shell Tuck Stitch? What the he__ did I get myself into? I will never enter a giveaway again!
Anyway the machine is a "Brother LS-1520" (should be a SISTER LS-1520!). And I'm sure it was not made in this country, Maybe not this Planet! Remember , "Woman are from Venus"!
And Mama Pea, I'll show you mine if you show me yours!
I'm going to set here and enjoy my BEER and worry about this tomorrow ( Next week, next year?!).
      OH BROTHER!
      Tom
